Rain Stopped Play

I was planning on going into town this evening to watch the match, but just as I was about to leave, the sky darkened and something resembling a tropical storm pbutted over. The flash of lightning and the simultaneous tumult (it must have been pretty damned close) were enough to put me off. Still, it's been an interesting week: On Wednesday I played pool with a couple of the guys, with the football in the background. Hopefully the pool will become a regular occurrence, apart from the disruption of holidays. On Friday I went out roleplaying, so I ended up cycling to Zollikofen, which took a little longer than I expected as I took a five kilometre detour. We ended up playing until about a half to three; by the end I was really struggling with the German. I caught a lift back. On Saturday I slept late, then went to retrieve the bike, we ended up watching Star Trek (Enterprise Episode 2 and something resembling fanfic, the horror) and chatting about the RPG system. I cycled back following a more appropriate route. Today I slept late again, but redeemed myself by going out for a bike ride: View Map The route is slightly inaccurate near the beginning as, rather inauspiciously, I managed to find myself on the Autobahn (Motorway, Freeway), which made me feel deeply vulnerable. I managed to get off it and took a route through the woods until, by a piece of fortune (or direction-sense) I found myself on the road I'd planned to be on. I stopped briefly for a snack and later for a couple of quick water or photo breaks, but apart from that I didn't stop at all. This pleases me. After that I went for a walk in the woods; I planned to run, but couldn't quite manage it. Maybe tomorrow.
